To Live For The Harvest

Cal Bears in the Desert in collaboration with Chicanx Latinx Alumni Association, Cal Alumni Association, and OC World hosted a Special Preview Screening of “To Live for the Harvest – A new documentary explores the plight of farmworkers under COVID-19” on February 24, 2022.

To Live For The Harvest is an OC World documentary that explores the early agricultural roots of Orange County, and investigates reasons and factors determining the disproportionate impacts COVID-19 has had on Farmworkers and their families. The documentary interviews an Assemblyman, a Congressman, scholars, community leaders, doctors, and farm working families to tell this story of these “essential workers” who have been rendered invisible.
